Vintage Art Deco diamond solitaire engagement ring. A delightful old European cut diamond is held aloft by four tapering prongs in a lovely streamlined buttercup setting. The elegant shank tapers as it rises dramatically to meet the prongs, creating a beautifully sculptural profile reminiscent of a flower bud. A simple yet striking abstract design inspired by nature. The center diamond is approx. .17 carats, H color, I1 clarity, eye clean. Circa 1930s. Stamped 750 for 18K gold, and tests as such. This ring is in very good vintage condition.
